Shire 1st XV put in a gutsy and impressive performance in their defeat to a well drilled Gordonians side who will this season play in the league above.

Shire made the visitors work hard for their win, and were ahead after the 3rd Quarter, losing out in the end to some fresher legs as Gordonians created good space to run in some late tries.

Thanks to all who came down to enjoy the fair weather rugby, and thanks again to Gordonians for making the trip across town.
Next week Shire have a double header in Strathmore where both the 1st & 2nd XV will be looking to end their pre-seasons strongly.
